Abney’s narrative paintings and collages—filled with a pulsating mix of color, text, and figures—swiftly tackle topics related to race, gender, and politics. Dreams, personal experience, and conversations inspire her works; police brutality has figured prominently in recent paintings, leading many to associate the works with the Black Lives Matter movement. Initial thoughts:
Much like my last post i had set my self the goal of finding artist similar to my self whom i felt i could use in junction with the AMW ( alternative mrs world)idea.Automatically this piece and artist struck me,Not only because of the figure and without question the diversity, but the shapes and figures that can be seen in the background. My favourite part of the picture as a whole would be the grass the simple shape that to the onlooker could be interpreted as grass,While some shapes in the background are not as obvious this is exactly what i am looking for when trying to get inspiration for the content in my art,Over all this piece is great to me.

What do i take from this image?:
This image may not realate as such to alternative mrs work but i do feel however it links in with my theme of human interaction and human space in general.Mostly due to the actual matter the picture deals with women and nudes and humans in general. while this may not be a strong connection the image layout alone is enough in my view to continue to look at this artist.
