Nottingham Trent uni day/talking with Nicki Hall

Above are general pictures I took while walking around.Nottingham Trent uni. While walking around I felt like it had a calm and real atmosphere where all the students slept to be pretty relaxed and in their element.I managed to catch up with one of the students (who had been doing her course foe 3 years and was coming to the end of it) and Got a lot of great information about the uni and what would be expected of me if I decided to go.
While so spoke about her work it gave me a opportunity to understand the amount of effort that went into every federal and the fact that have a reason behind what you did even if it was the most simplistic thing was key. Also the momey involved and the transport to get to Nottingham seemed a lot easier then other places I had visited (which would have ment me stopping in student a acomindation which would not be ideal due to my lack of money.
I feel like a little bit of hope was benighted while talking to her and maybe a blurry future that appears to becoming clearer.
If you are reading this and are contemplating Nottingham as a uni I would try seek out.Nikki Hall as she was incredibly helpful and I will be looking forward to talking to her again
.
This trip has certainly opened my eyes

a collection of zines and art(POT ILLUSTRATIONS IDEAS)

From a ever rising band called Nai harvest. Many of there art and posters include different and colourful styles to consider for the future.I really love this picture for its simplistic nature.

id love to be able to show my own designs through this type of media. But i am admittedly terrible at sowing.I have found others from the same artist:

the artist behind these uses simple thread and cloth to make these designs and i feel they stand out
with the simple colours that are used.the artwork its self is Hand embroidery on linen/skin.

a link can be found below to more of art:

and also the official website for all the fantastic work:

Tsuru bride sowing/art:
I automatically clicked with this type of art as i saw ideas using the mixed media style. The mixture of sowing(even though i shall not be doing this style)was very pleasing in my eyes.I feel these ideas could influence my pots and perhaps be found on them

(A gif of said artwork i found to be quite interesting)A idea for a part of mine.

Adding the sowing to the plain white sheet was a good idea in my eyes.

This website also features the progression of her work and how certain parts are achived.

Pictures taken in my free time

Taken outside my house when my cat was sat on our gate.I think that the weather and darkness outside makes it look nicer. If I darked the image a bit I could make it out to be a monster on a gate.

Taken in Clumber park with slight sun beam in the left corner.

Taken in the outdoors when I went on a trip with my dad.The picture was interesting because of the fire that is setting off smoke in the back ground.

Taken in my bathroom

The picture's above were taken in preparation for class. Many had gone through Instagram filters put onto them.A lot of these pictures were a test to see how the different teqniques on them. Some used filters, saturation, light and dark.
Other effects are lost on me but I do remember Valencia pro.

interesting take on Free drawing

I decided to give my free drawing a theme of some kind so I searched cacti(as I have a small one in my room) I drew out some quick sketches and then chose one to use as a guide. From there I experimented with builinds, forests, houses and other things that can be seen inside the first picture.I honestly like this picture and when I look at it I can make a vague story out of it.Maybe I can use this for our up coming animation projects?

Free time drawing

This picture was not taken from any source, more from memory.I had the idea of a 80s hair style(or pinup girl) though didn't have the time to draw the body. I am quite impressed with this picture though and I may work on it in the future.

Free drawing

Original picture taken from LOOK fashion magazine. I personally loved the whole outfit and thought it would be quite intresting to draw a picture including lines (like her shirt).
Second attempt at a picture from the same magazine as above. Happy with the hair though I think the sunglasses needs work though.

Sheffield Museum and Art

As a trip to Sheffield was way overdue,Me and my farther decided to go and were lucky enough to stumble up on Sheffields Arts and Crafts fair.
while searching around one stall caught my attention.A lady selling both Cards and colouring books that automatically stood out to me. I unfortunately could not get any pictures of her work but found it very impersonating on my own.The range of colours she used gave me many ideas with multiple projects I am currently doing at the moment
(I will try to link a picture down below). The rest of the arts and Crafts fair broadcasted a wide variety of talents some using textiles, others using paints.
unfortunately the museam it's self seemed to be lacking in expeditions.Maybe due to rearrangement. The day it's self has taught me that it is always a good idea to go out and look at other artists(even discus with them about their work).
Cheers to a enlightening day At The Sheffield Museum.
