Hieronymus Bosch




One of the notable pieces of works being "The Garden Of Earthly delights" created around 1503 and was tabled Christan art.This piece is Oil and Oak and is made of a square middle panel flanked by two other Oak rectangular wings.
The painting in the middle showed a Grisaille painting that is repression in a biblical way of creation

Grisaille:
A term for a painting made entirely in shades of grey or of another neutral greyish colour.This is particular used ion large decorative schemes in imitation of sculpture.

The three scenes shown are said to represent intended to be read chronologically from Left to right:

  • The left panel depicts God presently Eve and Adam 
  • The central Panel is a board panorama of socially engaged nude figures, fantasy animals,Oversized fruit.
  • The right panel os a hells cape and portrays the torments of damnation

A unbroken view of the whole religion surronding an obsever.


some believe the painting asa did ache warning in the perils of life.Other such as Peter S Beagle who talked about its meaning saying "Erotic Derangment that turns us all mad"
