Feminist pottery(images)Artists to help-Straying away from Shindogu

Below are some of the artists i liked into while looking for feminist and nudist pieces.Though i did not decide to use actual figures in my work i still found these to be quite intresting all the same.At this time in the project i was still trying to incorporate shindogu into my work but felt it was pessary to start away and look at new things e.g. feminist pottery and the female form.
Below are just some i found intresting:

Artist;Cynthia consentino
                                      Nude II, 2010, ceramics, mixed media, 19 x 25 x 58″.
                                          link:https://cynthiaconsentino.com/sculpture/
Artist;Shary Boyle
some of her sculptures and ceramic figurines are dedicated to the exploration of sexual phenomena. Those erotic statuettes often invite the viewers to rethink the conventional gender roles and human sexual relationships.

Artist: Strani Incontri
 Comical heads of birds, reptiles and rabbits sit awkwardly on typified bodies, representing concentrations of fable parsonages, so unapologetically relatable to everyone and anyone.

                                                                 Artist:Ronit Baranga

These were totally different to the other pieces i had looked into before and i found these to be slightly more disturbing then the others.

evolution of ideas(Update)Using pots-Femenism and its concept(including it into my work)

Update to project:
 Reseach into things that would be considered disgusting ,things that are socially seen as negative(or revolting).Some of these things included:
Vaginal and testical organs.
Scarring and tearing
State of feminism
Feminism is; A
person who supports feminism.

Feminism: is a range of political movements, ideologies and social movements that share a common goal: to define, establish, and achieve equal political, economic, cultural, personal, and social rights for women. This includes seeking to establish equal opportunities for women in education and employment
.
Feminist movements and support:
Have campaigned and continue to campaign for women's rights, including the right to vote, to hold public office, to work, to earn fair wages or equal pay, to own propertyto receive education, to enter contracts, to have equal rights within marriage, and to have maternity leave. Feminists have also worked to promote bodily autonomy and integrity, and to protect women and girls from rapesexual harassment, and domestic violence.

My thoughts on Feminism:
I feel that in todays age it is very important to have feminism and feminists so that we can all be equal in the world we live in.Even though today i feel,as a women,that i am still predujcede against by other members of the human race.I support the multiple array of movements that include;
Third wave FeminismIn the early 1990s in the USA, third-wave feminism began as a response to perceived failures of the second wave and to the backlash against initiatives and movements created by the second wave. Third-wave feminism distinguished itself from the second wave around issues of sexuality, challenging female heterosexuality and celebrating sexuality as a means of female empowerment.
*
Stand point Feminism -Standpoint theory is a feminist theoretical point of view that believes a persons' social position influences their knowledge. This perspective argues that research and theory treats women and the feminist movement as insignificant and refuses to see traditional science as unbiased.

Post FeminismThe term post-feminism is used to describe a range of viewpoints reacting to feminism since the 1980s. While not being "anti-feminist", post-feminists believe that women have achieved second wave goals while being critical of third wave feminist goals. The term was first used to describe a backlash against second-wave feminism,

Further research (Artists and smaller ideas)

book called Additions to clay bodies which can be bought from most book stores some of the information is as followed:
Here is the link below for a preview of what the book would offer:
http://ceramicartsdaily.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/AddToClayExcerpt.pdf
One of the pages i did find was this one
This explains the methods of granular materials and how interesting pots are made.It also gives a very detailed step by step process.
I really find this idea of texture interesting.In my head i mage it to be like a cinnamon swirl roll (rather delicous)and the mixture of blue gravel and grey looks nice as well.
I feel as if this will help me figure out different textures for my ideas and help me expand on my disgusting pot plans.

A artist who uses this similar style(being lumpy and gravely by choice)is;
Ewan Henderson who has made these pieces;

His sculpture look appears to be rotted and old when looked upon and uses not dull(but toned down colours)Some pieces have a few bits of blue added that really contrasts.His artwork is known to fall apart(planned of course)this is made possible by adding soap inside theft,so over time,it drops off naturally.
The reviews of his work are as followed:
He worked on a variety of vessels, building them up in layers, using clay bodies into which bone china or porcelain might be laminated. The addition of stains and oxides - on tall pots as well as small tea bowls - created rich colour; when used to excess, these pigments became rough and blistered. The result was almost volcanic, redolent of the firing process and Earth's own geology. By building in texture and palette simultaneously, body and colour became one.*Taken from this link who gives more information on his life and work:

David Bin is another artist that I have considered for my work,Here are some of the work:

possible pot textures and working on designs

This pot texture appers to look very clustred and looks like it has gems. I shall try this using common garden stones that have a red tint in it.I feel like it could be a cluster of gems.

More of a floor that has been truden on effect. I feel like this would be very much like the first one but with less colour and more of a grayel simple tone.It has a mixture of bigger and smaller stones

19th century satirical illustrations

http://www.oxfordartonline.com/public/page/benz/themes/BritishSatire
The link above provides information into the 19th century satirical illustrations.Below are some examples of what one actually is:

Something i find very strange about theses images are the way faces and heads are proportioned and the illustrations are made.The last one looks like it could possibly be a options poster or chart.

Mixed media and fine art ideas (ones to consider)

here is some research i have done for Unit 45 Graphic image making i will be putting the work i have found into good use.Here are some of the examples i have found:
Most of these are made from magazines and are a mixture of paper and computer(i would assume photoshop)

Fine art:
This one automatically struck me and the bright colours really go well with the idea(fashion and modelling).I really love the fact the image looks hand drawn and i want to take inspiration from this image in some way.A mixture of patterns and dots really makes this work intrersting.

 Hand painted:
This one takes a totally different approach to the last one.I feel as though this one looks a lot more realistic and the painting makes it look smoother.I love the way the dress is made out of comics to look like what she is wearing.
 Mixture of photo and simple:
This one is a prime example of mixed media and uses photos take and special effects (i would assume on photoshop etc)to create a faded picture.While i ,myself, would most likely not use this idea in my work i would like to still consider it as a option if i were to use the camera more.

 Photography and hand drawn imagery:
I feel as if this image would be very easy to recreate with a good camera and smooth graphic lines.I really love the simplicity as well.I feel as if this one is defiantly one to consider.

 Hand drawn images with text in the back:
A idea brought to the class by our tutor today.Using facts about the art industry we could make a image that has a list at the back and compose something that relates to the art industry at the front.A simple but still very effective idea that should be taken into consideration.
collage photo:
Now this is a image i do really like.I love the way that multiple images have been combined into one to make not only a person,but a recognisable one at that.The colours all fit right and the background makes the image look even better(without it looking as messy and busy like the first image).
I love that the texture on the face isn't even a image so really does give this picture a bit of uniqueness.
 Texture photo(stitched):
This image really struck me as i different approach to making posters.The idea that you could do a series of three poster that had been hand stitched and then had splashes of painted added really would given the a unique feel.While i am the first to admit i know very little about textiles andbcan not stitch i would love to have a go at creating something like this.
